SHIPPING, DELIVERY & RETURNS

How do I know if my order has been placed successfully?

Once you’ve placed and paid for your order, you will receive a confirmation email with your unique tracking number.
Alternatively, you can check if your order has been successful if you sign in to ‘My Account’, login to your account and check your 'Order History' to see if the order is listed.

How will my order be shipped?

All Afari orders are sent via Primetime Express, a door-to-door courier service. Please ensure that there is someone to receive your order at your preferred physical address between Monday and Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

If you are not at home when your order arrives, the courier service will contact you regarding when you will be able to receive your parcel. 

How long will my order take to ship?

Your order will take 2-5 working days from date of payment to arrival.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Please note postal deliveries will only be accommodated by special request. Please email hello@afari.co.za before placing your order to ensure we can accommodate your delivery.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard Shipping on orders under R750 is R79.
Standard Shipping on orders R750 or more is FREE.

What is PayJustNow?

PayJustNow is a simple, easy to use payment system, which allows you to purchase over 3 equal, zero-interest instalments. You’ll pay one instalment at the time of purchase, the next at the beginning of the following month and the last one a month thereafter.

How do I checkout using PayJustNow?

  • Step 1: Add your Afari purchase to your cart and proceed to the checkout. 
  • Step 2: Select PayJustNow as your payment method
  • Step 3: You will be redirected to PayJustNow to create your account
  • Step 4: Complete your purchase through PayJustNow
  • Step 5: Once you receive confirmation of payment, Afari will be notified of your order and will prepare your order for delivery.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship to physical addresses within South Africa.

How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of your order, simply log into your afari.co.za account and select “Order History” in the “My Account” page. If you still have questions about your order, please send an email to hello@afari.co.za with your order number and preferably the order confirmation email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Orders submitted on afari.co.za process and ship very quickly. We will do our best to modify an existing order if you email us at hello@afari.co.za but we cannot guarantee that your order will be cancelled or modified. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

What happens if I order something and it’s out of stock?

We will contact you and refund your card or account for the value of the item within 3-5 business days. 

What if my package arrives damaged?

If your package was damaged during shipment, save the box and merchandise and notify us immediately at hello@afari.co.za. We will arrange for Primetime Express to pick up and inspect the damaged package and the damaged items will be replaced.

What is your return policy?

In what we hope is the unlikely event that you’re not totally satisfied with your purchase, Afari will gladly accept returns on unopened/unused orders placed within 30 days.

Please note, we only accept returns for items purchased through www.afari.co.za.

Do you accept returns on sale items?

Only full-priced, saleable items are eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, we do not issue refunds on discounted items.

Do you offer exchanges?

Unfortunately, we do not offer exchanges at this time. However, in the unlikely event that your order is damaged or defective, we’d love to help. Please email us at hello@afari.co.za within 30 days of receiving your product(s) along with your order number and a picture of the damaged area and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

SECURITY

Is shopping on afari.co.za secure?

Security is as important to you as it is to us. Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption and firewall technology throughout the ordering process. Most browsers will show a lock icon in the top status bar on secure pages. Look for this icon on any web page that asks for your personal information. Credit card and order data is encrypted and secure. You can be assured that your order will be placed safely and securely. Please contact us at hello@afari.co.za with any questions.

ACCOUNT

What are the benefits of having an account?

By creating an account on afari.co.za you will be able to keep record of all your purchases, billing, and order tracking information. You can also store multiple shipping addresses to expedite the checkout process.
If you choose to receive emails (which we highly suggest!), you will also be the first to know about new products, promotions and all things Afari.

How do I create an account?

Click here to register a new account. Alternatively click on the "Log in” link in the navigation and then select "First time here? Create account" link to create an account. Or, create an account during your first check-out.

I can't access my account, what should I do?

If you're having difficulty signing in to your account, you may have entered your email address and/or password incorrectly. If you have checked this and you still can't log in, please use the forgotten password link to regain access to your account.

How do I re-set my password?

To change your password, you can either use the forgotten password link or sign in to My Account and go to Account Information.

Can I use more than one promo code at a time?

Promo codes are limited to one code per order. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with other promotion codes. All codes are available for a limited time and cannot be used once expired. Promotions are not redeemable for cash. Afari reserves the right to change or rescind offers and promotion codes at any time. Please note that misuse of promotions and codes may result in order cancellation.
 
If you are having an issue with a promo code, please be sure your order meets all qualifications for the promo code or that the code is still valid. If you are still having issues, please contact us on hello@afari.co.za so we can resolve the issue for you.

PRODUCT INFO

Do Afari products have expiration dates?

All Afari products have a shelf life of two years, and 12 months after opening.
All skin care products have a period-after-opening date that is printed on the packaging. 
This information is a guideline so that you get the most out of your products and use them at their peak efficacy. If you look on the back of your Afari bottles, you will see a little open can with a number inside, which refers to the number of months in which we recommend using the product. In Afari’s case, all products have a shelf life of 12 months once opened.

Are Afari products non-comedogenic?

All of our products have undergone clinical trials and none of the participants in the trials have ever experienced irritation or breakouts when using only Afari products. 

Does Afari test on animals?

No, we love our furry friends too much.

Are Afari products vegan?

Yes, we do not use any animal-derived ingredients in our formulations.

Are Afari products organic?

We use select organic ingredients in our Afari collection, which includes our hero active ingredient, Bulbine frutescens.

We have made a conscious decision not to call out this fact on our packaging and online as there are multiple certificates for different countries and many of these do not guarantee either 100% natural or organic products. 

Please know we will always ensure that our products are totally free from potentially harmful ingredients and our formulations are clean, vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

How do I know Afari products are right for me?
